Earlier this Summer I had the opportunity to tour and photograph the construction site of Georgetown’s new dining spot, “El Monumento.” I got to meet one of the architects, Scott Adams, who is also a Southwestern graduate. Adams explained many of the architectural features of the building as well as his thoughts and experience of the design. One of my favorite aspects of the design is the great location and presence of the structure near Blue Hole Park. The earth tones of the rammed earth walls and wooden posts blend elegantly with the environment.
